User data deletion

This page explains how to ask WaMan to delete personal data that it stores or processes. It also serves as public data deletion instructions for the Meta application.

How to request deletion

Send a request to hola@waman.mx from the email associated with your account, or use the contact channel available in the platform. To help us locate the data and protect it from fraudulent requests, include:

1. The subject: Data deletion request.
2. Your name, account email and, if applicable, organization name.
3. The WhatsApp number, account identifier or Meta integration involved.
4. A description of the data you want deleted and any information needed to verify your identity.

Data we can delete

After verifying identity and the request scope, we will delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer needed to provide the service or comply with a legal obligation, including where applicable:

• Account data and Meta integration identifiers.
• Contact data, conversation metadata and organization records.
• Tokens, files, memories and other data WaMan maintains to operate the integration.
• Conversation content and attachments when the request concerns the data subject and no exception applies.

Identity verification

We may request additional information to confirm that the request comes from the data subject or an authorized person. We will not send personal data to a new address or channel included only in the request without first verifying identity.

Response times

We will acknowledge and respond within the periods required by applicable law. For ARCO requests in Mexico, the response period is up to 20 business days and, when the request is granted, deletion will take effect within the following 15 business days, unless a different period is permitted or required by law.

Retention exceptions

Some records cannot be deleted immediately when we must retain them to comply with legal, accounting or tax obligations, resolve disputes or protect security. In particular, stamped CFDIs and payment records may be retained for the applicable tax period, currently up to five years, even when they are unlinked from the contact.

Meta-related data

If you connected WaMan with Meta or WhatsApp Cloud, identify that integration in your request. WaMan will delete data under its control according to this page and the privacy notice. Data that Meta retains directly is governed by Meta's tools and policies.
